Volunteer: Crisis Intervention Training Information

About The Training 

We provide a 70+ hour state-certified peer counselor Crisis Intervention Training. The training is virtual. 

Completion of this training will allow you to provide all direct client services such as crisis line and peer counseling. It is the same training our staff members are required to complete. 

Once the Crisis Intervention Training is completed, you will be state-certified and can provide all direct client services including: 

In person client peer counseling and advocacy at our Roseville Client Service CenterSexual Assault Forensic Exam AccompanimentDomestic Violence Response Team AccompanimentCourt Hearing AccompanimentTransitional Housing Program SupportCrisis Line CoverageReception at our Roseville Client Service CenterSafe House Fun activities with clients We offer this training two times per year - Spring and Fall.

The Fall 2025 Crisis Intervention Training is closed.

Spring 2026 Crisis Intervention Training Information  

Orientation – Tuesday, March 3 – 6pm-7pm One on One Interviews – Wednesday, March 4 and Thursday, March 5 Class Sessions – March 10 through May 26 - Tuesdays and Thursdays, 5:30pm-8:30pm  Course content reading - Approximately 1-2 hours per weekThis course will be held virtually on Zoom.

YOUR VOLUNTEER IMPACT: For every hour you are in the Crisis Intervention Training, we receive $24/per hour in grant funding match. This is very significant and helps us in meeting our grant requirements.
