Crisis Intervention Training

Who We Are

Stand Up Placer is a non-profit community-based organization dedicated to empowering Placer County survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, and human trafficking to heal from the trauma and create new lives of strength and self-sufficiency. We take pride in our community, engaging and inspiring Placer County residents to end the legacy of abuse.

Stand Up Placer began in 1974 as a grassroots, volunteer-led rape crisis line. Today, we are governed by a volunteer board of directors with paid staff members and volunteers working together to provide around-the-clock services to victims of abuse and their families.

Our Mission Statement

Saving lives by empowering survivors and educating communities to stand up to domestic violence, sexual assault, and human trafficking.

Our Vision Statement

Ending domestic violence, sexual assault, and human trafficking in Placer County.

Our Philosophy

Stand Up Placer firmly believes that everyone deserves to live a like free from violence.

We are mission-driven, survivor-centered; trauma-informed and empowerment based. We provide services to victims of the crimes of domestic violence, sexual assault, and sex trafficking in Placer County. All of our services are free and confidential.

We provide many important services such as  a 24-Hour Crisis Line, Text and Chat, a pet friendly emergency shelter, legal assistance, peer counseling and advocacy as well as support groups
